Templates, forks, and royalties
What a fork inherits and what it does not.
A standard token has no fork royalty. A template can set a royalty from 0% to 5%. A fork creates a new token with a new symbol, new metadata, and its own balances and liquidity.
The fork records its parent and origin creator. It inherits the template’s royalty rate, which is paid from the protocol’s fee share. The royalty is not added on top of the published trade fee.
What lineage means
Lineage proves an on-chain parent relationship. It does not prove endorsement, shared ownership, shared code outside the factory, or truthful metadata.
